When importing from MYOB AccountRight Live, you can choose to bring in your job and category data for divisional analysis. This will help you to further filter your results to gain more detailed insights on the performance of those jobs and categories.
❗Note: MYOB companies must be stored in MYOB AccountRight Live in order to import job and category data.
You can import up to 20 jobs into Fathom for a single company when importing from MYOB.
Importing for the first time
When importing data from MYOB AccountRight Live for the first time, select the company you wish to import data from, and select a period range for import, then click 'Import'.
Select which job/category options you wish to include in your analysis and reports. You can select to import a maximum of 20 job/category options per company.
After selecting job and category options, click on ‘Confirm selection’, then 'Import' to start the import process.
While the import is occurring, you can keep using Fathom - simply click ‘Continue using Fathom’ to proceed. You will then be notified when the import is complete.
❗Note: The import of data for each tracking category may take up to 1 minute, depending on the number of monthly periods to be imported.
Importing job and category data for an existing company
If you've already imported a company from MYOB AccountRight Live, you can import or manage your job and category data.
To do so, proceed to 'Step 1 - Update Data' of the company settings, and click 'edit' next to the 'Tracking' heading.
You can then select the tracking jobs or categories you wish to import for analysis. You can choose a maximum of 20 tracking jobs or categories per company.
Updating tracking job/category data from MYOB AccountRight Live
You are able to update the tracking class data that is being imported, to ensure that any changes made in MYOB AccountRight Live are reflected in Fathom.
To do so, proceed to 'Step 1 - Update Data' of the company settings, and click 'Update from MYOB'.
You can also select the checkbox to 'Automatically update every day'. This will automatically update Fathom from MYOB AccountRight Live on a daily basis.
