The Types of Fathom Forecasts
There are three different onboarding processes to help you set up a forecast for an entity in Fathom.
Custom Forecast
Quick Start Forecast
Link to Budget or import a forecast
Forecast Onboarding Option | What it means | What you set up during onboarding |
Custom forecast creation allows you to start from scratch and set up key accounting methodologies and relationships to get to a precise forecast. You can then drill down even closer to individual accounts or headings to apply custom methodologies at a more granular level. |
| |
This option allows you to jump into forecasting right away with Fathom setting up the baseline rules for you. | You can learn more about the methodology in our 'Quick Start Forecast' article. | |
This allows you to link your forecast to an existing budget import. If you have an existing forecast you want to build off of in Fathom, you can import that as your company budget. |
