Create more than one forecast

Yes, you can have more than one forecast for a company or consolidated group by using scenarios.

Once your baseline is created in the main forecasting grid, you can layer events and scenarios on top of your main forecast.

Scenarios can be used to:

  • Create copies of your forecast with slight or significant changes in rules or events.

  • Build out and compare complex plans.

  • Plan out how an increase or decrease to your baseline rules would be handled (e.g. What if Expenses increase by 5%?).

💡Smart Tip: You can choose the main forecast or any other scenario you have already created to set the baseline for a new scenario. This enables you to layer different combinations of rules and microforecasts in new scenarios.

Scenarios enable you to keep multiple forecasts up to date. Any changes to the main forecast’s baseline will be reflected in your scenarios (unless overridden by specific rules). All dynamic formulas and timing profiles that have not been overridden will still be linked to the main forecast.
