Fathom Advisor Certification is now available to all Admin and Advisor Accountant users in their Fathom account.
How do I access Certification?
New users: Fathom Advisor Certification can be accessed via a current Fathom account including both trial accounts and paid accounts. To set up a new trial, start a free 14-day Trial.
Current users: Log in to your Fathom Account at app.fathomhq.com and hover over the ‘?’ icon to reveal a dropdown. Select ‘Certification’ to prompt Fathom to send an enrolment link. Next, follow the instructions in your email to set up your account with the course platform, Thinkific.
The email will be sent from firstname.lastname@example.org with the subject line: Fathom Advisor Certification. We recommend checking your spam folder if you are unable to locate the initial invitation email.
Once you have started the course, you will be able to view your progress and access the course content through the certification button in app.
Why can’t I access Certification from my Fathom Account?
Certification is currently available to all Admin and Advisor level users of Fathom Organisations, which are labeled as Accountant. The accountant label was designated when you first set up the Fathom account. To make changes to this label or to request certification access, contact email@example.com.
By default, client/viewer level users do not have access to Fathom Certification, as the course covers topics that require Admin or Advisor level access on the platform to use in product.

What is covered in this course?
Fathom Advisor Certification is designed for both new and experienced users of Fathom who are interested in improving their management reporting, analysis, and forecasting practices by learning to automate these processes using Fathom. The course will cover the entirety of the product from onboarding new files from QuickBooks, Xero, MYOB, and other external softwares via Excel to customizing settings, analysis and reports. Additionally, this course will cover the Fathom forecasting functionality including creating a forecast, defining scenarios, and tailoring the forecast values. Individuals who complete this course will become Certified Fathom Advisors.

How do I obtain my certificate and badge?
Once you have completed the course you will be able to download your badge directly from app.fathomhq.com and your certificate through the Thinkific course platform. From app.fathomhq.com hover over the ‘?’ and select ‘Certification’. If you have completed the course, you will be able click ‘Certificate of Completion’ to be directed toward Thinkific, or select the Certificate badge for download.
How do I change the name on my certificate?
For any amendments to your certificate, reach out to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Is Certification eligible for CPE/CPD Credit?
Global - 6 hours CPD
The content of the course has been certified by the CPD Certification Service and is eligible for 6 CPD hours globally.
United States - 6.5 CPE hours
This course has been developed in accordance with the standards defined by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA). State boards of accountancy have final authority on the acceptance of individual courses for CPE Credit.
In accordance with the standards of the National Registry of CPE Sponsors, CPE Credits have been granted on a 50-minute hour.
Fathom is not a NASBA Registered Sponsor of CPE Credit. Final approval of CPE credit is at the discretion of the Accountant and the relevant Board of Accountancy.
