Top Tip for Forecasting

See how your forecast decisions are impacting cash flow

Updated this week

Forecasting is included with Fathom Pro - the plan with access to all of Fathom's features. Companies on Portfolio can be upgraded to Fathom Pro at any time.

How is your cash forecast calculated?

The Balance Sheet Layer Detail lets you see the impacts of your forecasting decisions on a specific balance sheet account, like your main cash account.

It's similar to a direct cash flow statement. For each month of the forecast, it shows:

  • The account's opening balance

  • Profit & Loss movements impacting the account and their amounts

  • Balance Sheet movements (journals & schedules) impacting the account and their amounts

  • The account's closing balance
