Print Settings for Reports (PDF)

Fathom reports can be viewed both online, and as a downloadable PDF. Learn how to customise the settings for the PDF report presentation.

You can access the 'Print Settings' for a report by editing the report and clicking on 'Edit Header'.

To customise your PDF, make sure you are on the 'Print' tab and rather than the 'Online' tab. Select the 'Print' tab in the top right of your screen. For more on online report customisation, see Brand or white label your report.

You can adjust the following settings.

Cover Page Orientation

Switch between portrait and landscape orientation.

Title

Adjust the text alignment to LEFT or CENTRE, and switch between light and dark title text.

Fill

You can fill the cover page with a colour fill, image fill, or just leave it blank. A colour fill or image fill can be set to a full-page or half-page.

For the background image fill, we accept .jpg .png or .svg file types. The dimensions for your background image will depend on whether your Organisation Report Settings are set to 'a4' or US 'letter'. You can add a background image for both landscape and portrait reports.

Full title page

  • Full a4 title page: Design a custom background image that is 297mm x 210mm.

  • Full letter title page: Design a background image that is 279mm x 216mm.

Half title page

  • Half page a4 title page: upload an a5 file 148mm x 210mm.

  • Half page letter title page: upload a half letter file 140mm x 216mm.

There are 4 logo options

Other Options

Show date of publishing

Show the date the report is published

Show a Table of Contents

Display a Table of Contents page directly after the cover page, showing a list of all sections you've created and their page numbers.

Show page numbers

Display page numbers at the bottom right of the PDF report

Display your own customised footer text. You can use {{CompanyName}} and {{PeriodName}} as placeholders in the footer.
